A new South African Flyball record was set on Sunday 14 September 2025 at the Birch Acres Non-championship show. The team’s time beat the previous record by 0.01 seconds, setting the new South African Record at 16.52 seconds.

The team, Flying Fires, consisted of Shannen Jacoby with Rapid, Brigitte Rheeder with Dream, Jacques van Vuuren with Amaze, and Sonelle van Wyk with Ace. The same four dogs set the previous record of 16.53 in February this year.

The team also credits their quick-handed box-loader, Karin Roos, and the Club, Birch Acres, and they also extend their thanks to the Judge Monika Mohr.
