THE KENNEL UNION OF SOUTHERN AFRICA MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF KUSA HELD AT 13H00 ON TUESDAY, 20 JULY 2021, VIA SKYPE

5.2.1 Applications for Second Championship Shows

5.2.1.1 George Kennel Club & Outeniqua Kennel Clubs 11 & 12 June 2022

The above Clubs are requesting to hold a second Championship Show again in 2022 as they did this year after a successful event held under difficult circumstances.

The Club is up to date with all its documentation .

5.2.2 Schedule 3 Reg 14 – Exclusion of Dogs & Reg 19.8

5.2.1.1 Temporary Exclusion Order (TEO) – Rough Collie – CHELLERT SMUDGED BY COAL – Reg. No. ZA008856B19. TEO issued following an incident at the Northern Tshwane Championship Show held 15/05/2021 at which it was reported that the exhibit behaved aggressively by attacking a Shetland Sheepdog (Mackland Kismet Quest). No response received .

Owner to be sent official TEO letter and Provincial Councils to be informed .

KUSA Breed Judges Examination held 26 June 2021 - 9 candidates.

Paper 1 – KUSA Regulations & Canine Physiology – 1 Candidate wrote the exam and passed

Paper 2 - Breed Standards, KUSA Rules & Canine Physiology – 7 Candidates wrote the exam & 2 Candidates passed.

5.4.1 Article 25 .2 Judges shall maintain continuous and unbroken membership of the Kennel Union from the time their formal studies or activities towards a judging qualification commence until their voluntary retirement from judging, advised in writing to the Executive Committee, or their incapacitation (at the discretion of the Executive Committee), or their death.

9.2 Amendments to Club Constitutions

9.2.1 Sasolburg Kennel Club

The KUSA (Specimen) Club Constitution was accepted by the Club members at its meeting held 22 March 2021 and is hereby tabled for approval subject to amendment to the quorum clause.

Carried forward to the next meeting.

9.2.2 Cape Heritage Bull Terrier Club

The above Club members approved the following amendments at its AGM held 2 May 2021.

The changes are to allow for Annual General Meetings, Special General Meetings and Committee Meetings to be held via teleconference, video conference, face-to-face or any combination of these. The changes are in line with the new specimen constitution as provided by the Kennel Union of Southern Africa.

Changes:

Add the below paragraph as 21 A (vi) and renumber subsequent paragraphs:

Annual General Meetings shall either be face-to-face, or by teleconference, or by videoconference

(including Skype), or be face-to-face combined with either of the two forms of virtual attendance.

Add the below paragraph as 20 B (v) and renumber subsequent paragraphs:

Special General Meetings shall either be face-to-face, or by teleconference, or by videoconference (including Skype), or be face-to-face combined with either of the two forms of virtual attendance.

Add the below paragraph as 20 C (iv) and renumber subsequent paragraphs:
