Operational Rollout of the KUSA Online Portal

We are pleased to announce that the KUSA Office has commenced with the process of transitioning to the new KUSA Online Portal, for the processing of applications submitted via email to the KUSA Office. Applications submitted on or after 1 September 2026 will be processed via the new portal if the application falls within one of the following categories:   

*Membership Applications (New & Renewals) 

*Litter Registration Applications 

*Single Dog Registration Applications (Imports, Dogsport Register, Export Pedigrees) 

*Affix (Kennel Name) Applications (New & Renewals) 

*Transfer of Ownership

ADDITIONS AND AMENDMENTS
TO
THE ARTICLES OF THE CONSTITUTION

The additions and amendments to the Articles listed below were agreed to by the Federal Council and will become effective on 01 February 2017 (01.02.17).

Clubs are reminded that in terms of Article 40 of the Constitution, Affiliated Clubs have the right to object to any proposed amendment or part thereof to the Articles.

N.B.: The references refer to the Constitution and Schedules on the KUSA website (www.kusa.co.za).

AMENDMENTS TO THE ARTICLES

ARTICLE 2 – INTERPRETATION OF TERMS (approved at Fedco 06-2016)
Insert new definition:
“National Canine Care Club” means a Club, operating nationally under the authority of the FEDCO of KUSA, the main objective of which is to promote a better understanding and a wider knowledge of canines and canine affairs amongst the general public; to promote goodwill both among people interested in dogs and towards dogs in general; to encourage, foster and advance responsible dog ownership, including the responsible keeping and general welfare of all dogs, which may include purebred dogs and dogs of any ancestry.

Insert the following new definitions under the list of Disciplines currently recognised by KUSA:
Handler Classes, Working Utility Dog (WUD), Dancing with Dogs, Testing Standards for Rescue Dogs

ARTICLE 12 – PRIVILEGES OF AFFILIATION, MEMBERSHIP (approved at Fedco 12-2015)
Amend to read:
12.1.2 Every affiliated Club may at any time raise any relevant issue or submit an advisory recommendation to its Provincial Council which shall, if adopted by not less than a majority of fifty per cent of the full number of members of the Council, provided that such number is not less than seven (7), be tabled by the Chairman of such Provincial Council at the next meeting of the Federal Council.
