Operational Rollout of the KUSA Online Portal

Posted in KUSA News

We are pleased to announce that the KUSA Office has commenced with the process of transitioning to the new KUSA Online Portal, for the processing of applications submitted via email to the KUSA Office. Applications submitted on or after 1 September 2026 will be processed via the new portal if the application falls within one of the following categories:

*Membership Applications (New & Renewals)

*Litter Registration Applications

*Single Dog Registration Applications (Imports, Dogsport Register, Export Pedigrees)

*Affix (Kennel Name) Applications (New & Renewals)

*Transfer of Ownership

Although the KUSA Online Portal has been in development for some time, the KUSA Office Team has had minimal exposure to it. The new system is very different from the legacy system and it will take the Team some time to adjust to the new workflow processes. Hands-on user training is underway, but key to the ultimate efficiency envisaged is the accumulation of experience and the assimilation of knowledge as more applications are processed via the new Portal.

We appeal to our Members to bear with us during the initial implementation phase, which is bound to impact on the turnaround time to process and complete applications. Realistically, it is anticipated that this period of intensive skills development and learning will inevitably result in an initial backlog of applications and that the lead times for processing them might well fall short of our Members’ expectations.

While every effort will be made to minimise delays and congestion, we nevertheless need to apologise in advance for inconvenience and frustration the transition may cause. But, as Mark Twain famously said, “The secret of progress is getting started”, and that is exactly what the KUSA Office Team is committed and motivated to do, hopefully with our Members’ understanding, forbearance and support.

Members will be invited to sign up and access the new KUSA Online Portal as soon as the KUSA Office has resolved whatever glitches are invariably likely to present themselves during the initial operational roll-out.

Please look out for the official announcement!
