2. MINUTES
The Minutes of the meeting held on 19.05.2020 were formally adopted.
3. ANY MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
3.1 SA Dog Show Manager (Pty) Ltd (Exco 10-19 item 10.2, Exco 11-19 item 3.3, Exco 02-20 item 3.1, Exco 03-20 item 3.1, Exco 04-20 item 3.1, Exco 05-20 item 3.1)
Follow-up on outstanding monies owed to Clubs.
Any further information will be tabled following the report at the May Meeting that the documents were ready in order to proceed with civil action .

3.2 Protection of KUSA Trademark – Registration with CIPC (Exco 01-2020 item 10.2, Exco 02-20 item 3.3, Exco 03.20 item 3.2, Exco 04-20 item 3.2, Exco 05-20 item 3.2)
Delayed due to COVID-19 contingency plans taking priority.

3.3 Pinetown GSD Club & ABTC (Exco 03-20 item 9.2.1, Exco 04-20 item 3.4, Exco 05-20 item 3.3)
Letter circulated 13.03.2020.
Carried forward from previous Meeting when a lengthy discussion ensued on the status of the above long- standing KUSA Club and other GSD Clubs, as well as their relationships with the GSD Liaison Council. The definition of Specialist Club as per Article 2 and the definition of a GSD Specialist Club as defined in the GSD Liaison Council Constitution to be examined, together with the Club Constitutions, and any anomalies brought to the attention of the Federal Council for resolution.
PM and BJ were to discuss with JH.
On request from MCA, a copy of the Constitution of the Pinetown GSD Club had been sent to him in order to discuss at Provco level. Unfortunately, the Natal GSD Club Constitution was not currently available as it was in hard copy in the KUSA Office.
Any further information will be tabled.
MCA advised that a Provco meeting would be held on 21/06/2020 to address any problems and misunderstandings regarding the status of these Clubs with KUSA. MCA to provide feedback on the matter at next Exco meeting.
It is the responsibility of the Exco to ensure that the GSD Liaison Council was functioning in accordance with its Constitution and operating optimally. BJ requested PM to liaise with Mr Robinson (GR) on a letter to be sent to the GSDLC by Exco. It was agreed that GR should be approached to represent Exco at any meeting convened by the GSDLC.

3.4 KUSA Public Liability Insurance Policy (Exco 05-2020 item 5.2.3.1)
PM was requested to contact the Insurance Company to enquire whether Judges are covered and, if not, what would the costs be to cover judges should they be bitten whilst executing their duties. The response was that there was an Extension Clause in the policy that covered employees and thus also covered Judges.
Any further information will be reported by PM.
Noted. Exco was satisfied that Judges were covered by the policy, but requested that the notes from the insurance broker be kept on file.
3.5 Use of Prong Collars (Exco 04-2020 item 5.9.2, Exco 05-2020 item 5.9.2)
At Exco 04-2020 it was agreed that the notice prepared by the Fedco Portfolio-holder for IGP in conjunction with the KUSA Office be circulated to Clubs and Provincial Councils and posted on the KUSA website. NdP’s input was required to amend the Regulations to make them more stringent, particularly with regard to training classes.
Due to a shuffling of priorities relating to COVID-19, the above-mentioned notice has not yet been circulated and will be sent to Clubs at the appropriate time.
The notice will be circulated once instruction to do so has been received from Fedco Portfolio-holder for IGP.

NdP undertook to produce a manual after the lockdown, with the assistance of BJ, for the information of DSC members. Thereafter a Skype meeting will be arranged.

All the 2020 KUSA Classic Events have been postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19. BJ will report on any further information from the Task Team established to consider the allocation of new Show Dates.

9.2.1. Bouvier des Flandres Club, Golden Reef
At its meeting held 23 May 2020, the members agreed to adopt the new KUSA specimen Club Constitution with some small amendments. The amendments were checked by DOGSPC Chairman and the KUSA Office. The final Constitution was attached to the agenda for approval.

Litters whelped 26 October 2018, four (4) puppies, 18 March 2019, two (2) puppies,
22 February 2019, two (2) puppies, 26 September 2019, one (1) puppy and
01 June 2019, four (4) puppies, breeder Ms M Robertson.

Not approved. DNA parentage verification as well as Sworn Affidavit required for registration as per the Regulations.
Schedule 2 Reg. 4.10 Additional puppy
The breeder petitions the Executive Committee to rule on the registration of an additional puppy to a litter already registered in terms of Schedule 4.10.
Giant Schnauzer
Breeder Ms N Verster: Litter whelped 23 October 2015, four (4) puppies in the litter.
Date the litter was registered: 20 July 2016.
The breeder submitted the registration application on which only three (3) puppies were recorded. The breeder gave the 4th puppy as a pet to her sister, but would now like to breed with an imported female.
DNA Parentage Verification certificate received. Sworn Affidavit - to follow.
Exco to set Conditions and Fees deemed appropriate:
This was the first litter registered. A subsequent litter whelped 11 August 2016, (6) puppies.
Approved , subject to receipt of sworn affidavit. Fee set at R2096.00.
9.4 Schedule 2 Reg. 9 Amendments to Register
Incorrect details of Sire recorded on application for registration of a complete litter.
Dachshund (Min Long Haired): Litter whelped 16 February 2020 four (4) puppies, breeder Mrs JL Missen.
The breeder inadvertently recorded the incorrect Sire on the litter application form and only realised this once she had checked the Members Portal.
DNA Parentage Verification done and parentage has been confirmed.
A fresh Application has been submitted.

(The first litter application was submitted to KUSA on the 20 March 2020. The request to amend the Registration Certificates issued was received 03 June 2020). The certificates are still at the office.

10. GENERAL
10.1 Fedco Agenda
MCA queried the Regulations regarding Specialist Clubs which do not hold Shows. After discussion, it was agreed to recommend to Fedco that the member Clubs of the GSDLC must hold at least one Breed Show every two years and one Breed Seminar every four years.

Fedco Meetings 2020: June 2020 – series of Skype Meetings scheduled from 2 June to 27 June November 28 & 29.
