The Working Gundog and Conservation Club - WGCC
The Working Gundog and Conservation Club was founded in August 1987.
Because Gundog Clubs were focusing all their attention on Field Trials, it was the contention of the founders of the WGCC that a more holistic approach be adopted.
The WGCC’s aim was to stimulate interest and improve knowledge in all aspects of the outdoor environment in which the working gundog and owner enjoy.
The main aim of the Club is to create the ideal environment for the advancement of this sport through the additional benefit achieved from wing shooting and utilizing the attributes of the gundogs, in their natural conditions.
The Club’s activities include bird watching, shooting, conservation outdoor activities and any function supporting camaraderie.
